New figures Monday from the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation show the bottom has dropped out of the price for poultry. Boneless chicken breasts which were selling for $3.24 a pound a year ago and spiked three months ago at $4.36 have now dropped to $2.48.

To burn or not to burn: Jerome's latest quandary

On one hand, Jerome was deemed the most hazardous town in the county for fires by Yavapai County Emergency Management. It awarded the town a $25,000 Firewise grant earlier this year to burn fire fuels such as brush. On the other hand, a resident concerned with health issues from the resulting smoke has asked the town to stop burning.
