Well, it's been a quiet week in Clarkdale, my little home town at the foot of Mingus Mountain. Monday was the big Fourth of July celebration in town, which kicked off with the fire and police pancake breakfast at 7 and the Raising of the Colors by the VFW and a speech from the mayor, Doug Von Gausig, and a singer, Marie Jarreau, at the gazebo in Town Park, and all this before 9 a.m.
