Lighting from monsoons sparked several fires in Sedona late last week: one turned into a wildfire about 5 miles east of Sedona which produced a large amount of visible smoke from the Uptown area and the Village of Oak Creek Friday, and another lightning strike ignited the roof of a Sedona resort Wednesday.
