Dale Poole said he had no intention of ever jumping out of a plane, despite being assigned to the 82rd Airborne Division during the recruiting process. "No, no, no, no, no, I don't want to jump out of airplanes," Poole said he told the officer at the match station the first time he mentioned which division might be a good fit since he wanted to learn communications.
