Each year, less than 1 percent of each state's high school seniors become National Merit Scholarship Finalists. This year, two of those finalists are students at Mingus Union High School. Both Eileen Lower and Jeremiah McDowell are "are highly motivated, dynamic thinkers with bright futures," says MUHS counselor Cynthia Harakaly.
